Community Guidelines

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Ringa is a social media community for sharing photos, videos, Stories, Vidz, ideas and conversations. These guidelines apply to public content, profiles, comments, messages, groups and other user activity.

Be respectful

Do not threaten, harass, bully, stalk, intimidate or deliberately humiliate other people. Do not organise targeted harassment or encourage others to attack a person or group.

Protect children and vulnerable people

Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation of minors, grooming, trafficking, coercion or content that facilitates abuse is prohibited. Ringa may remove such content immediately, ban accounts and make reports to appropriate authorities or specialist organisations where required.

No hate or dehumanisation

Do not attack, dehumanise or advocate violence against people on the basis of protected characteristics. Context such as education, counterspeech or reporting may be considered during moderation.

Sexual and adult content

Do not post unlawful sexual content, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation or content that sexualises minors. Ringa may restrict or remove other sexually explicit material where needed for safety, advertiser requirements or platform rules.

Violence and dangerous behaviour

Do not make credible threats, encourage serious violence, glorify violent extremist activity, or use Ringa to coordinate dangerous or unlawful conduct. Graphic material may be restricted or removed depending on context.

Privacy and impersonation

Do not publish another person’s private information without permission, impersonate people or organisations in a deceptive way, or use manipulated identity information to scam others.

Fraud, scams and prohibited transactions

Do not use Ringa for fraud, phishing, deceptive investment schemes, theft, malware, illegal goods or services, or other unlawful transactions.

Authenticity, spam and manipulation

Do not send repetitive spam, artificially inflate engagement, automate abusive behaviour, coordinate fake accounts or manipulate Ringa systems to create misleading popularity or reach.

Intellectual property

Only upload material you have the right to use. Ringa may remove content following a valid rights complaint or other reliable evidence of infringement.

Self-harm and sensitive situations

Content that encourages or instructs people to harm themselves may be removed or restricted. Supportive discussion, recovery content and help-seeking may be treated differently depending on context.

Reporting

Use Ringa’s reporting tools when you believe a post, Vid, profile or other supported content violates these guidelines. Reports enter a moderation queue for administrator review.

Enforcement and violations

Moderation may include content removal, warnings, recorded violations, temporary suspension or permanent bans. Ringa’s default escalation may automatically suspend an account after a configured warning threshold, but administrators may take stronger or faster action for severe conduct. Users can see their current violation count in Settings. Ringa may consider violation history for future creator or monetisation eligibility.

Appeals and questions

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, contact nonyane554@gmail.com with enough information for Ringa to identify the affected account or content.
