These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Ringa, a social media platform where people can create profiles, publish photos and videos, share Stories and Vidz, comment, react, follow accounts, send messages, join community features and use other services Ringa makes available.
1. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts or use Ringa to evade a restriction placed on another account.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of content you create. By uploading or publishing content on Ringa, you grant Ringa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, display and distribute that content only as needed to operate, improve, secure and promote the Ringa service and the features you choose to use. You must have the rights and permissions needed for anything you upload.
3. Community conduct
You must follow the Ringa Community Guidelines. Prohibited activity includes harassment, threats, hate or dehumanising content, sexual exploitation, content that endangers children, scams, fraud, malicious impersonation, doxxing, unlawful sales, spam, manipulation of engagement, copyright infringement and other unlawful or seriously harmful conduct.
4. Moderation and account enforcement
Ringa may review reports and other signals, remove or restrict content, issue warnings, record violations, temporarily suspend features or accounts, or permanently ban accounts. Serious conduct may result in immediate action without waiting for repeated warnings. A user’s violation history may also be considered when Ringa later determines eligibility for creator, partnership or monetisation programmes.
5. Advertising, sponsored content and promotions
Ringa may display advertising, sponsored posts, promoted profiles, promoted products and other paid placements. Sponsored content will be identified where appropriate. Users or businesses purchasing promotion remain responsible for the accuracy and legality of their advertising content. Ringa may use third-party advertising providers as well as Ringa’s own advertising systems.
6. Commerce and Ringa Coins
Some Ringa features may involve store purchases, creator earnings, Ringa Coins or other payment features. Additional rules, eligibility requirements, fees, payout conditions or product-specific terms may apply when those features are made available.
7. Intellectual property
Do not upload material that infringes copyright, trade marks, privacy rights or other rights. Rights holders or affected users may contact Ringa to request review of allegedly infringing material.
8. Service availability
Ringa may change, add, remove, suspend or improve features. We work to keep the service available and secure, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
9. Account deletion
Eligible users can request or initiate account deletion through Ringa settings. Deletion may remove account information and user content from active Ringa systems, subject to information Ringa must retain for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute resolution or legitimate moderation records.
10. Changes to these Terms
Ringa may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes may be announced on the service or through account notifications where appropriate. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
11. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are intended to operate under the laws of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer, privacy or other rights that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.
